Hardcore Press Play

about

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM DEATH ROW JAMIE:

"Having had a brief stint in Berlin as an underground DJ, I quickly noticed the differences in production and performance of music in comparison to garage hardcore/death metal. In the UBNS (Underground Berlin Nightclub Scene) which I was definitely a part of, it was all about who could slam that play button the hardest. This song is a 100% true recollection of some of the wildest stunts I pulled to utterly demolish that play button, and rise to the top of the UBNS."

lyrics

He jumps off the diving board. We all wait for him to fall. Cold air beats across his face. Pointed finger bracing for the hardcore press play. Hardcore press play.

Hardest of the DJs. He gets the party started. His finger doesn't break from the hardcore press play.

He jumps out the aeroplane like a bomb, heavy load. The spacebar awaits. He jumps down from outer space like a big bloody bomb, and he's falling and he's falling and his cheeks are fuckin' jelly. His legs are Bega Stringers. His finger's pointed downwards like the beak of a magpie.

That's what's involved in the process of hardcore press play.

Death Row Jamie Melbourne, Australia

Death Row Jamie is the embodiment of teenage darkness, teenage angst, and teenage frustration. Music is an outlet for these three elements that construct his messy, hate-filled, eerie and at times beautiful mind. (written by Death Row Jamie).
